Student Advisory Board

The Student Advisory Board consists of students registered with the Office of Disability Services who are nominated by faculty and staff to serve in this leadership position. The primary purpose of the Student Advisory Board is to advise the Office of Disability Services on matters regarding student services and campus accessibility.

Members of the Student Advisory Board also serve the larger campus community as consultants regarding accessibility issues and improvements. Members of the Student Advisory Board seek to promote disability culture as an integral piece of the diversity of the campus and community. This is accomplished through class presentations, collaborations with the surrounding community, and promotional activities for disability-related campus events.

The Student Advisory Board meets monthly and members commit to serve at least one academic year.

If you would like more information about the Student Advisory Board or if you are a faculty member interested in having them present to your class, contact Disability Services and ask for the Student Advisory Board Coordinator.
