Student Veterans

As you embark on a new mission here at UNC Charlotte, we want you to know the Office of Disability Services is committed to serve those who have served our country and wish to further their education.

We recognize that the transition to civilian life can hold many challenges, and veterans with pre-existing or service-related disabilities may face additional challenges. Disability Services works to create access to educational opportunities as well as the physical campus for all students with disabilities.

Academic accommodations are available for a wide range of disabilities. Disability Services staff are experienced with a variety of diagnoses. If you are a veteran with a disability, we urge you to explore the services we have to offer. You can schedule a consultation appointment with one of our counselors to survey our services and ask questions before initiating our documentation process. We are willing to listen and have a conversation with you around the accommodations you may need to help you with your transition to the classroom.

Whether you served overseas or stateside, we welcome you home to UNC Charlotte! Our staff looks forward to working with you.
